Agricultural Research Technician
Responsibilities
The position will be responsible for overseeing greenhouse experiments and livestock-controlled design of experiments to evaluate the impact of treated water for reuse for direct animal/plant consumption. This position emphasizes applied, hands-on research. Training will be provided for specialized techniques, instrumentation, and experimental protocols.
Formal research experience is appreciated but not required. Candidates with farm, ranch, greenhouse, animal care, or ag operations experience are strongly encouraged to apply.
The Research Technician are to support laboratory, greenhouse, and field research focused on tunable-release inorganic fertilizers and water reuse for irrigation and animal consumption. Research activities focus on improving nutrient and water use efficiency in integrated crop-livestock systems. The technician will assist with experimental design, soil-plant experiments, animal experiments, data collection, and analysis under the supervision of faculty researchers.
Qualifications
- Aceessory or bachelor’s Degree in an Agricultural related field is preferred but not required (if applicable, must provide credentials of completed coursework).
