About the role

Position: Agricultural Loan Assistant/Specialist with USDA’s Farm Service Agency (FSA). Located in Hollis, OK as part of the Oklahoma State FSA Office in Harmon County. During training, incumbents are required to travel to the Beckham County office in Sayre, OK. The role is full‑time and developmental, providing on‑the‑job and classroom training in the administration of farm loan programs. Recruitment began September 16, 2026 and the listing expires October 2, 2026; applications close at 11:59 PM EST on October 1, 2026.

Responsibilities

• Conduct interviews with loan applicants, review loan applications, and make preliminary inquiries to develop factual information for eligibility assessment.
• Provide technical advice, guidance, and credit counseling to loan applicants and borrowers.
• Service all types of agency farm loans within the delegated authority.
• Develop knowledge of agency farm loan programs and eligibility requirements to apply that knowledge in applicant assessment.
• Apply technical knowledge of farm financing and credit, financial management concepts and practices, farm operations, land use and value, production and marketing of various crops and livestock, and prices and markets within the local serviced farming areas.
