Responsibilities
- Build and grow a portfolio of agricultural clients through business development and relationship management.
- Identify client needs and deliver tailored financial solutions such as loans, deposits, and treasury management.
- Analyze financial statements, cash flow, collateral, and operational performance to structure sound credit solutions.
- Conduct client meetings, farm visits, and due diligence to understand business operations and financing needs.
- Manage an agricultural loan portfolio by monitoring credit quality, identifying risks, and supporting long-term client success.
- Partner with internal teams to prepare, present, and close credit opportunities while ensuring compliance with lending policies.
- Stay informed on agricultural markets, commodity trends, and economic conditions to provide valuable financial guidance.
- Maintain accurate client records, pipeline activity, and relationship updates within CRM systems.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business, Agriculture, or a related field, or equivalent relevant work experience.
- 2+ years of experience in commercial, agricultural, or small business lending.
- Knowledge of credit analysis, financial statement interpretation, and commercial lending practices.
- Understanding of agricultural operations, including crops, livestock, equipment, and agricultural real estate.
- Strong communication, relationship-building, organizational, and time management skills.
Preferred
- Knowledge of agricultural production cycles, commodity markets, and industry risk factors.
- Experience with commercial real estate or agribusiness lending structures.
- Strong business development, prospecting, pipeline management, and CRM experience.
- Knowledge of treasury management, deposit products, and commercial banking services.
- Experience managing increasingly complex loan portfolios and working with compliance or regulatory requirements.
