Agile Dev Team Member IV- Google CCAAS
About the role
Agile Dev Team Members have collective responsibility for the design, development, testing, and/or deployment of system functionality. This role provides guidance, mentorship, and training to a direct reporting staff of Agile Dev team members.
As an Agile Dev Team Member IV with a primary focus on development, you will ensure systems are architecturally sound, high in code and component quality, and easily modified to support future requirements with minimal guidance from senior developers or architects. If your primary discipline is testing, you will ensure the end product meets business acceptance criteria and non-functional requirements, defining and executing tests early and often at multiple levels.
Responsibilities
- Interpret customer needs into viable solutions and contribute significantly to system design.
- Break down features, write and refine user stories with clear and accurate acceptance criteria.
- Execute Test-Driven Development (TDD) and Behavior-Driven Development (BDD) to build in quality.
- Perform broad and detailed impact assessments relating to people, processes, and/or technology.
- Support implementation activities, troubleshoot user/system environmental issues, and assist in training.
- Support the business in building a Lean Business case and breaking epics into features.
- Identify and raise issues and risks with functional design, offering alternative solutions.
- Work with the Product Owner to confirm code and acceptance tests reflect desired functionality.
- Participate in key Agile ceremonies to drive execution, improve flow, and ensure transparency.
- Plan work via Program Increment (PI) Planning and Sprint Planning, developing and committing to Team PI Objectives and Sprint goals.
- Demonstrate working code to Product and Business Owners and support iteration and PI System Demos.
- Actively participate in Sprint Retrospectives, discussing opportunities for improvement and executing improvement stories.
Development Discipline
- Code instructions for computer programs/objects/components in multiple applications; configure packaged software.
- Provide expertise in solution design and functionality of business applications.
- Review and validate application technical design of team members to ensure alignment with business needs and best practice architecture principles.
- Analyze and evaluate existing manual and computerized systems/procedures to improve efficiency.
- Research and develop techniques for automation.
- Document and implement programs according to installation standards and conventions.
- Analyze and recommend system backup, security, restart/recovery, and balancing controls.
- Analyze and document requirements and approaches for data conversion and data modeling.
- Quality check program code, related objects, and documentation.
- Deliver working code each sprint.
Testing Discipline
- Analyze system and business requirements for testability using advanced testing tools.
- Develop, document, execute, and maintain test cases and test data.
- Identify complex errors during application testing and perform root cause analysis.
- Report test plan execution status through defect logs and defect tracking systems.
- Conduct audits to ensure test planning and execution adhere to standards and guidelines.
- Define advanced test plans to achieve appropriate level of coverage.
- Write test cases describing business behavior to facilitate automation and train others.
- Contribute to overall test strategy and development of application quality/testing standards and best practices.
- Mentor junior team members in test planning and execution tools and techniques.
Requirements
- Minimum 1 year as an Agile Dev Team Member III or 7+ years in a related field.
- High school diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor’s degree preferred.
- SAFe Practitioner or SAFe Agilist Certification within 180 days of hire required; SAFe DevOps Certification preferred.
Qualifications
- Proven professional software development experience with at least 2 years on Dialogflow CX projects delivering production chat or messaging solutions.
- Deep expertise in Dialogflow CX: flow architecture, page and route design, intent modeling, fulfillment webhook patterns, and CCAI Platform playbook configuration.
- Proficiency in Node.js for building webhook services, REST API clients, and event-driven microservices deployed on Cloud Run.
- Working knowledge of Firestore data modeling, query patterns, and transaction handling for conversational state management.
- Experience with GCP services including Pub/Sub, BigQuery, Cloud Run, and Secret Manager in production environments.
- Demonstrated integration experience using REST APIs, specifically case management, object queries, and chat channel routing.
- Hands-on experience with MuleSoft or equivalent enterprise integration middleware for API orchestration and data transformation.
- Experience configuring Google CCaaS digital channel settings and routing workflows.
- Python proficiency is a plus, particularly for scripting, data pipeline components, or Vertex AI API integration.
- Strong verbal communication and listening skills, with the ability to adapt messages for the intended audience.

- Solid understanding of business processes and products across multiple business units, including insurance concepts and terminology.
Work Environment
This is a hybrid role combining in-office and virtual work. Employees living within fifty (50) miles of a Farmers corporate office must work at least three (3) days in the office and up to two (2) days virtually. Applicants beyond fifty (50) miles may still be considered.
This position operates in an open office environment with normal and customary distractions, noise, and interruptions.

CA Only: $102,450 - $174,240
CO Only: $96,075 - $150,260
