Agg/Asphalt Truck Driver

About the role
This is a skilled position involving the safe and efficient operation of dump trucks, water trucks, and/or tractor units (with and without pups, end dumps, belly dumps, lowboys, tankers, trailers, and tarping systems). Drivers will potentially deliver aggregates, asphalt, water, construction equipment, AC oil, and other materials to residential and commercial locations.
Responsibilities
- Operate dump trucks, water trucks, and/or tractor units (with and without pups, end dumps, belly dumps, lowboys, tankers, trailers, and tarping systems) safely and efficiently.
- Maintain thorough operational knowledge and skills of the equipment.
- Keep accurate time and material records.
- Follow verbal and written instructions.
- Demonstrate knowledge of different types and sizes of aggregates and construction equipment.
- Maneuver and back trailers effectively.
- Communicate effectively using the radio system.
- Connect and disconnect trailers.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED required.
- One to two years of related experience and/or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Valid state commercial driver’s license (CDL) Class A with endorsements: Air Brakes, Tanker, Double/Triples, Manual Transmission.
- Valid Medical Card as per DOT standards.
- Incident-free driving record preferred.
- Must be 18 years of age or older.
- Must pass pre-employment physical, drug screen, and criminal background check.
- Strict adherence to safety requirements and procedures as outlined in the Employee Handbook.
- Willingness to work independently within a team environment and assist with other duties as required.

Physical Requirements
- Frequently required to sit, climb, and use hands to signal and handle equipment.
- Occasionally required to stand, walk, crawl, kneel, bend, and reach with hands and arms above shoulders.
- Must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50-75 lbs.
- Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, and depth perception.
Work Environment
- Occasionally exposed to wet and/or humid conditions, moving mechanical parts, outside weather conditions, and extreme cold and/or heat.
- The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
Pay
Wage range: $26 - $29 per hour, dependent on experience.
