Agentic AI Developer

Job Summary

The Agentic AI Developer is responsible for designing, developing, and deploying autonomous AI agent systems that augment human workflows and drive operational efficiency across TAP programs. Responsibilities include:

• Design and deployment of agentic AI systems using established frameworks (e.g., LangChain)
• Development and refinement of prompt engineering strategies, including chain-of-thought, retrieval-augmented generation (RAG), tool use, and multi-agent orchestration
• Integration of AI agents with external tools, APIs, databases, and enterprise systems
• Building human-in-the-loop controls, guardrails, and escalation mechanisms
• Evaluation of agent performance through testing, benchmarking, and iterative refinement
• Collaboration with cross-functional teams to identify high-value AI automation opportunities
• Documentation of agent architectures, workflows, and SOPs
• Supporting other activities as directed by the Portfolio Manager

Required Experience

• Public Trust clearance required
• 3+ years of software development experience, with at least 1 year focused on AI/ML or LLM-based application development
• Strong proficiency in Python
• Experience with LLM APIs (e.g., Anthropic Claude, OpenAI GPT, Google Gemini)
• Experience with agentic frameworks (e.g., LangChain, LangGraph)
• Experience with prompt engineering techniques, including chain-of-thought, RAG
• Familiarity with vector databases, embeddings, and semantic search
• Understanding of responsible AI principles including transparency and human oversight in agentic systems
• Strong written and verbal communication skills

Preferred Experience

• Experience deploying AI solutions in a federal government or regulated environment
• Experience with multi-agent systems, agent-to-agent communication, and orchestration patterns

Education & Training

• Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Software Engineering, or relevant field (Preferred)
• Relevant certifications in AI/ML, cloud, or data engineering (e.g., AWS ML Specialty, Google Professional ML Engineer)

Work Authorization, Clearance Requirement, & Additional Information

This position requires the ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government Public Trust clearance. Due to contract requirements, candidates must be U.S. citizens or lawful permanent residents (green card holders) to be eligible. No agencies, third parties, or Corp-to-Corp submissions. Salary range: $48/hr - $62/hr. Salary commensurate with experience.
