Agentic AI and Data Engineer

About the role

As an experienced engineer, you will design, develop, and deliver production-grade agentic AI systems that leverage generative AI, large language models (LLMs), and autonomous workflows. You will architect modular AI applications, integrate multiple model providers, and deploy solutions optimized for latency, cost, and safety.

What You'll Do

• Design adaptable agentic AI architectures supporting multiple model providers, tool ecosystems, and deployment modes.
• Build modular components for prompting, retrieval, orchestration, tool execution, memory management, and evaluation.
• Integrate LLMs, embeddings, RAG pipelines, structured outputs, and memory mechanisms into production systems.
• Apply advanced prompting techniques (e.g., chain-of-thought, tool-calling) and orchestration frameworks (e.g., LangChain).
• Implement evaluation frameworks for correctness, robustness, safety, and business impact.
• Develop data pipelines for ingestion, cleaning, chunking, embedding, and indexing.
• Manage vector databases, hybrid search, and retrieval optimization to reduce hallucination.
• Deploy AI services on AWS using Docker, Kubernetes, or serverless approaches.
• Use CI/CD, eval-driven development, and asynchronous programming for scalable workflows.
• Collaborate with clients to identify AI opportunities and present solutions to stakeholders.

What You Bring

• Minimum Qualifications:
• 2+ years of software engineering experience.
• 2+ years in AI/ML-focused roles in a professional environment.
• Experience with Python for AI/ML solution development.
• Experience designing and implementing production-grade generative or agentic AI applications.
• Experience with AI orchestration frameworks (e.g., LangChain), agent workflows, and multi-provider integration.
• Experience with RAG architectures, evaluation methodologies, and event-driven programming.
• Knowledge of data processing techniques for text, audio, and multi-modal data.
• Ability to obtain a Secret clearance.
• Bachelor's degree in CS or Engineering.
• Preferred Qualifications:
• Experience with agent frameworks (e.g., MCP, A2A, LangGraph).
• Experience with model fine-tuning, prompt tuning, or reinforcement learning.
• Experience designing evaluation suites or safety testing for AI systems.
• Experience delivering AI solutions in client-facing engagements.
• Experience with React, build pipelines, and automated testing.
• Experience with in-browser or edge AI execution.
• Experience with developer productivity tools (e.g., Cursor, Windsurf).
• Secret clearance.
• Master's degree in CS, AI, or related field.
• AWS Machine Learning, Data Engineer, or Solutions Architect Certification.

Clearance

Applicants must be eligible to obtain a Secret clearance.

Compensation

Salary range: $99,000 - $225,000 per year (based on location, skills, and experience). Includes health, life, disability, financial, and retirement benefits, as well as paid leave, professional development, tuition assistance, and work-life programs.
