About the role
This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for an Agentforce Salesforce Developer based in the United States.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and implement secure and scalable Salesforce solutions using Apex, Lightning Web Components, Visualforce, OmniStudio, Flow, and other Salesforce technologies.
- Build, configure, and deploy Agentforce agents and custom agent actions to automate business and service processes.
- Develop custom agent capabilities using Apex, Flow, and prompt templates, extending functionality beyond standard platform features.
- Configure agent topics, instructions, and guardrails to promote accurate, secure, reliable, and compliant agent behavior.
- Ground AI agents in enterprise data sources to improve response relevance, accuracy, and contextual understanding.
- Test, evaluate, troubleshoot, and continuously refine Agentforce performance based on results and stakeholder feedback.
- Lead or contribute to technical design sessions and translate complex business requirements into effective Salesforce architectures and implementations.
- Build efficient, maintainable, and performant code in accordance with Salesforce development standards and industry best practices.
- Integrate Salesforce with enterprise systems and external platforms using appropriate integration patterns and technologies, including REST and SOAP APIs.
- Conduct code reviews and promote high standards for code quality, security, scalability, and maintainability.
- Diagnose and resolve Salesforce application issues, performance problems, and integration defects in a timely manner.
- Collaborate with business analysts, architects, project managers, developers, administrators, QA teams, and other stakeholders to ensure successful project delivery.
- Stay current with Salesforce releases, Agentforce capabilities, emerging AI technologies, and industry trends, recommending opportunities to improve solutions and development practices.
- Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior team members, encouraging knowledge sharing and continuous learning.
Requirements
- U.S. citizenship is required.
- An interim Secret security clearance or higher is required.
- Demonstrated experience supporting Salesforce platforms in Department of Defense (DoD) environments.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Minimum of 12 years of general professional experience.
- Salesforce Certified Platform Developer I and Salesforce Certified Administrator certifications.
- 3–5 years of experience working with OmniScript and FlexCards, including the ability to lead technical design sessions.
- Full-stack engineering experience, including database development and integration, with at least 3 years deploying Salesforce enterprise applications into production.
- At least 3 years of experience developing Lightning Web Components and Visualforce pages.
- 1–2 years of hands-on experience designing and deploying Agentforce agents and custom actions.
- Strong expertise in Salesforce development architecture, platform capabilities, development standards, and best practices.
- Proficiency in Apex and declarative technologies such as Flow and OmniStudio.
- Strong working knowledge of Agentforce, including Agent Builder, agent topics, custom actions, and related configuration.
- Familiarity with HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and other front-end web technologies.
- Knowledge of Salesforce integration patterns and technologies, including REST and SOAP APIs.
- Experience with prompt engineering and Salesforce prompt templates, such as Prompt Builder, is preferred.
- Familiarity with grounding AI agents in enterprise data sources such as Data Cloud is preferred.
- Experience with version control and CI/CD pipelines is preferred.
- Public sector experience and/or experience delivering multiple Salesforce implementations is a plus.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with the ability to translate complex requirements into efficient technical solutions.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
