Agent Trainee - Farmers Insurance

The Ryan Underhill Agency, part of Farmers Insurance, is seeking an enthusiastic and driven Agent Trainee to join their dynamic team in Kentwood.

Key Responsibilities

• Identify, connect with, and convert potential clients into lifelong customers
• Advise individuals and businesses on their insurance needs and recommend personalized coverage
• Sell and cross-sell a wide range of insurance products: Auto, Home, Life, and Commercial
• Provide exceptional customer service through proactive communication and regular policy reviews
• Achieve or surpass individual sales goals and help drive agency-wide success
• Stay knowledgeable about industry trends, new products, and compliance standards
• Use CRM systems to organize leads, track follow-ups, and manage renewals
• Actively participate in team meetings and support broader agency initiatives

Who You Are

• At least one year of experience in sales, customer service, or a related area (insurance background a plus)
• Excellent communicator with persuasive negotiation skills
• Confident making outbound calls and closing sales
• Eager to learn, grow, and respond positively to coaching
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
• Property & Casualty and/or Life & Health licenses preferred (or willingness to obtain)
• Bilingual abilities are a plus
