Agent in Training- Farmers Insurance

About the role

As an Agent in Training, you will learn the ins and outs of the insurance business from an experienced team. This hands-on role prepares you for a successful insurance career with tailored coaching, mentorship, and real-world experience.

Key Responsibilities

• Learn to generate new business through prospecting, outreach, and converting leads into new policies
• Participate in client consultations to identify and assess insurance needs, recommending personalized coverage solutions
• Affiliate in selling and cross-selling Farmers insurance products—including Auto, Home, Life, and Commercial lines
• Build strong relationships with clients through outstanding service and regular policy reviews
• Work toward meeting individual and team sales targets to drive agency growth
• Stay current on insurance products and maintain professional standards
• Use CRM tools to accurately manage leads, follow-ups, and renewals
• Engage actively in team meetings and planning sessions

Qualifications

• 1+ year of sales, customer service, or insurance experience preferred
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Confident making outbound calls and closing sales
• Eagerness to learn, accept feedback, and grow professionally
• Strong organizational and time management skills
• California Property & Casualty and/or Life & Health license preferred (or willingness to obtain)
• Bilingual – Spanish speaking required

Pay

Compensation Range: $55K - $75K
