Responsibilities
- Oversight of nursing and medical needs of ATS clients
- Quality of care and staff supervision
- Training and development of staff
- Compliance with agency policies and procedures, state licensing regulations, and CARF accreditation standards
- Communication with referral sources and other outside agencies regarding health and medical needs of ATS clients
- Coordination of medical services provided for ATS clients
- Education sessions on health and medical issues for ATS clients and staff
- Membership in the Safety Committee and ad hoc membership in the Clinical Team
Requirements
- Current R.N. license
- Knowledge and experience regarding client care issues related to substance use, including withdrawal, denial, knowledge of community referral resources, and basics of psychiatric and medical nursing
- Effective communication and organizational skills
- Possession of State certification as a Substance Abuse Counselor (CSAC) and/or national nursing specific substance abuse certification
- Valid driver’s license and current CPR and First Aid Certification
