About the role
We are seeking Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs) and Qualified Medication Aides (QMAs) to join our team. Applicants should have completed a certified nursing assistant program or be enrolled in a state-approved training program.
Responsibilities
- Observe and report any changes in resident's health status to the Charge Nurse
- Provide assistance with activities of daily living (i.e. bathing, dressing, oral hygiene, skin care) according to the plan of care
- Document all care given and observations made while providing care
- Bath, shave, trim, shampoo and comb hair for residents as instructed
- Absorb residents to and from chairs and into/out of bed, using good body mechanics
- Change positions of bedfast residents
- Observe all infection control procedures as instructed
- Participate in meal service
- Answer call lights and alarms promptly and courteously
- Clean and store equipment properly and as scheduled
- Report and document any accidents or incidents involving residents, employees, or visitors immediately to your supervisor
Requirements
- Ability to read and write English
- Ability to bend, lift, squat, walk, grasp, hear, and respond to pages and call lights
Qualifications
- CNA certification (preferred)
- QMA certification (preferred)
- One year of caregiving experience (preferred)
Skills
- Good judgment in administering medications
- Observational skills and ability to report drug reactions
- Knowledge of infection control procedures
- Ability to communicate effectively with residents, families, and medical staff
