Responsibilities
- Promote and sell equipment to perspective and existing customers
- Serve as a primary point of contact between customers and Ziegler Ag Equipment, ensuring a positive overall experience
- Build strong rapport with customers while maintaining an appropriate balance between personal and professional relationships
- Aid all of Ziegler walk-in customers by responding to their needs promptly and professionally
- Collaborate with the Ag Regional Sales Manager and other team members, including product specialists and manufacturer representatives, throughout the sales process
- Meet with assigned customers in person or on site to understand their operational needs and provide tailored product recommendations
- Promptly follow up on all customer leads, requests, and inquiries
- Possess and engage with new customers on a regular basis to expand customer base and grow market share
- Create and deliver quotes, product information, and materials that support customer decision-making
- Conduct machine presentations and demonstrations, ensuring customers clearly understand product capabilities and fit for their operation
- Manage the sales process by asking effective questions, identifying customer needs, and actively listening to provide informed solutions
- Accurately maintain customer information and all sales activities within the CRM system
- Prepare and submit sales contracts accurately and in a timely manner
- Plan and execute a pricing strategy that aligns with company policy
- Maintain a high level of knowledge regarding competitive products, industry trends, and competitor activity
- Work cooperatively with management and colleagues across departments to support a strong team-selling environment
- Resolve customer issues both within and outside of the direct sales process, ensuring customer satisfaction and long-term relationships
- Manage and maintain strong relationships with key accounts to support ongoing business opportunities
- Promote all products, parts, and service offerings to customers based on their needs
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required
- Bachelor’s degree preferred in business or agriculture-related field
- Strong agricultural background
- Prior sales experience in ag equipment or related equipment is a plus
- Strong mechanical aptitude
- Excellent written, electronic, and verbal communication skills
- Proficient computer skills, including Word, Excel, and CRM systems
- Strong work ethic and the ability to act with a sense of urgency
- Willingness and ability to operate equipment for demonstration purposes after proper training

Benefits
- Total compensation (base plus incentive) for this position is $136,000.00 to $204,000.00
- Starting wage is dependent on skills, experience, and education

- Up to 50% travel; minimal overnight travel required
