Afternoon Babysitter for School Pickup

About the role

We are seeking a reliable and caring babysitter in Newark, NJ, to assist with after-school care for our 7-year-old son and 9-year-old daughter.

Responsibilities

• Pick up our son from school Monday through Friday at 3:30 PM
• Drive him home
• Provide a snack
• Stay with both children until approximately 4:30 PM when a parent arrives home

Requirements

• Patient and attentive
• Comfortable working with a minimally verbal autistic child
• Reliable transportation
• Comfortable around a friendly small dog

Prior experience with autism is not required as we will provide guidance on his routine.

This position extends throughout the school year from September to June.
