Afternoon Babysitter for 6-Year-Old

About the role

We are seeking an imaginative and energetic part-time nanny/family assistant to join our warm, busy household in Boerum Hill near Downtown Brooklyn. You'll be providing after-school care for our curious, outgoing 6‑year‑old son.

Responsibilities

• School pickup and engaging the child in imaginative play from 2:30 PM to 5:00 PM most weekdays
• Occasional evenings or weekends by arrangement
• Light housekeeping tasks: tidying, kid laundry, resetting common spaces
• Home organization projects
• Simple meal preparation
• Serve as point person for the regular house cleaner and other household contractors

Requirements

• Reliable, warm, and energetic
• At least two childcare references
• No pets present in the home

Pay

$30–36 per hour, with approximately 20 hours per week guaranteed.

Schedule
