About the role

Soccer Shots DuPage County is looking for enthusiastic coaches to join their team this fall. The role introduces children ages 2-8 to soccer through engaging, age-appropriate sessions that build confidence, character, and a love for physical activity.

Responsibilities

• Arrive on time and prepared for every session
• Effectively manage groups of 5-10 children
• Communicate professionally with families, school staff, and Soccer Shots leadership
• Enjoy being active, enthusiastic, and encouraging
• Create a fun and positive learning environment
• Be friendly, approachable, and dependable
• Represent Soccer Shots positively at all locations
• Maintain a professional appearance and attitude
• Have experience working with young children

Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years old
• Reliable transportation to locations throughout DuPage County
• Daily access to a smartphone and internet
• Ability to pass a background check, fingerprinting, and medical screening in accordance with DCFS requirements
• Ability to work weekday afternoons (approximately 2:30 PM - 6:30 PM)

Qualifications

• No prior soccer coaching experience is required
• Experience working with young children is strongly preferred
• Teaching, coaching, childcare, camp counseling, or education experience is a plus
• Soccer experience is helpful but not required
