About the role
We're looking for an enthusiastic and dedicated Hip Hop Educator to join our growing team and lead after-school Hip Hop programs for elementary and middle school students. This role is ideal for instructors who are passionate about dance, enjoy working with children, and are committed to creating a fun, engaging, and supportive learning environment.
- Teach age-appropriate Hip Hop dance techniques and choreography to students from Transitional Kindergarten (TK) through 8th grade
- Ensure student safety and well-being at all times
- Foster confidence, creativity, self-expression, and teamwork through dance
- Plan and lead engaging Hip Hop classes and movement-based activities
- Adapt instruction to different ages, skill levels, and learning styles
- Facilitate positive social interactions and encourage teamwork
- Effectively manage student behavior using positive reinforcement
- Maintain accurate attendance and incident records
- Prepare and organize activity materials, keeping spaces clean and safe
Schedule
- Tuesday or Thursday from 3:45-4:45 PM at Glick Middle School (September 8, 2026–May 25, 2027)
- Substitute position: Monday–Friday from 3:30-4:30 PM (August 17–December 14, 2026)
Pay
Hourly Pay Rate: $50
Requirements
- 18+ years of age
- Ability and willingness to complete 3 hours of online training prior to the start date (Concussion Training, Mandated Reporter, First Aid & CPR)
- Authorization to work in the US
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication abilities
