$50+ per instructional hour (flexible based on experience, program, and commute)

Concorde Education is seeking a Guitar Instructor to lead engaging after-school music programs for students. This role focuses on building foundational guitar skills, musical confidence, and a love of playing through structured, supportive instruction.
Programs
Programs may include beginner guitar, small group lessons, or mixed-experience classes depending on the site. The goal is simple: get students playing, improving, and enjoying music.
What You’ll Teach
- Students will develop core guitar and music skills, including:
- Basic chords, strumming patterns, and finger placement
- Reading chord charts and simple notation (as appropriate)
- Rhythm, timing, and song structure
- Proper technique and instrument care
- Playing simple songs individually and in small groups
- Built confidence through practice and performance
Responsibilities
- Lead structured, engaging guitar sessions for small to mid-sized groups
- Support students across varying skill levels (beginner to intermediate)
- Create a positive, inclusive learning environment
- Maintain safe routines for instrument use and classroom management
- Adapt instruction based on student ability and group dynamics
- Communicate with site staff and track attendance/session completion
- Prepare students for a simple performance or showcase (when applicable)
Qualifications
- Minimum of 60 college credits
- Experience teaching guitar or providing private lessons
- Strong understanding of basic music theory and guitar fundamentals
- Experience working with kids or teens (schools, camps, lessons, etc.)
- Strong communication and classroom management skills
- Reliable, professional, and comfortable in a school setting
