Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Agree with and exhibit behaviors in accordance with the Mentoring Alliance Statement of Faith
  • Must be at least 17 years of age; High School Diploma or G.E.D. preferred and some post-secondary training highly preferred
  • Have a passion and love for working with elementary school-aged children
  • Experience working with elementary school-aged children is preferred
  • Able to work Monday - Friday 2:00 p.m. - 6:00 p.m. during the school calendar year
  • Able to earn CPR/First Aid certification (mandatory)
  • Pass Mandatory Background/Sex offender check
  • Valid driver’s license or Valid ID
  • Legally allowed to work in the United States
  • Have dependable transportation
  • Spanish-speaking ability greatly valued

About the Role

The After School Group Leader’s primary role is fostering youth development in an after school setting by leading elementary students in enrichment activities. You will have the opportunity to have an eternal impact and be a role model to kids in your community.

Responsibilities

As an After School Group Leader, you will:

  • Foster youth development through enrichment activities
  • Lead elementary students in fun and educational experiences
  • Ensure safety and supervision of students during program time
  • Collaborate with other team members to plan and implement activities
  • Communicate regularly with parents about student progress and activities

Requirements

To be considered for this position, you should:

Pay

The pay rate for this position is determined based on experience and qualifications.

Schedule

The After School Group Leader works Monday - Friday from 2:00 p.m. - 6:00 p.m. during the school calendar year.
