Qualifications

• Current CPR and First Aid certification
• Willingness to participate in annual training, including child abuse and neglect, child development, safety, and emergency procedures

Responsibilities

• Ensure the safety and well-being of children during the two-hour after-care period
• Lead age-appropriate activities (games, crafts, reading, etc.) to keep children engaged and active
• Assist children with settling in, organizing personal items, and following a morning routine
• Foster a positive, respectful, and inclusive environment while managing behavior and conflicts; contact parents with behavior concerns
• Greet parents upon drop-off/pick-up and provide brief updates regarding the child's well-being as needed
• Coordinate with school staff to ensure a smooth transition for children to the regular school day
• Help maintain a clean, organized, and safe space for children
• Adhere to all school policies, health regulations, and safety protocols
• Monitor and document staff and student attendance, reporting weekly numbers as needed
