About the role
After Care Sales Specialists are responsible for expediting special product line needs in the area of warranty or non-warranty, repairs, minor installation, product complaints, etc. Focusing primarily on the Andersen Dealer Service Network and Therma-Tru warranty programs, this role may also address other product issues.
Responsibilities
- Visiting jobsites to resolve service issues by performing service or maintenance.
- Filling out Service Job paperwork completely and accurately.
- Collecting service fees from customers in the field and properly processing them through the point-of-sale system.
- Properly maintaining stock service inventory on the service truck and keeping the truck neat and clean.
- Maintain and inventory of service tools.
- Pick and load service parts onto the truck.
- Communicate with various parties involved in completing service such as homeowners or contractors, Curtis Lumber sales staff, vendor service persons and Curtis service coordinator to resolve issues in a timely manner.
- Inform customers about the product so they are aware of available enhancements and upgrade options for their homes.
- Develop new and existing skills through educational programs with both company-provided and self-directed training.
- Comply with all Company policies including conduct and safety.
- Adhere to Company operational and security policies.
- Adhere to dress code and proper personal hygiene.
- Adhere to scheduled hours/work week.
- Willing to become a member of a committee/team for current or new programs to ensure their success.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Experience in customer service or related field preferred.
- Ability to perform physical tasks such as lifting and carrying.
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
- Knowledge of building materials and home improvement products.
