AFTER CARE WORKER

About the role

The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in supporting students in their daily activities and personal development.

Responsibilities

  • Provide direct support to students after school.
  • Implement behavior management strategies to assist students with diverse needs.
  • Educate students through engaging activities that promote learning and personal development.
  • Utilize classroom management techniques to maintain a positive and productive atmosphere.
  • Offer first aid assistance when necessary, ensuring the health and safety of all individuals.
  • Foster a Christian counseling approach when addressing emotional or behavioral challenges.

Qualifications

  • Experience working with students in educational or childcare settings is preferred.
  • Strong skills in classroom management and behavior management techniques.
  • Knowledge of first aid practices is essential.
  • Able to supervise students after school while they complete homework or are at play.
  • A compassionate demeanor with a genuine desire to help others succeed.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, for effective interaction with students, parents, and staff.
  • A commitment to maintaining a safe and supportive environment for all individuals.
  • ETRIS certification a must.
  • CMG Connect certification and background check approved.

Pay

From $13.00 per hour
