Qualifications

• Previous experience working with children in an educational or recreational setting
• Good leadership and communication skills
• Ability to handle emergency situations calmly and efficiently
• Knowledge of relevant regulations and best practices in after-school programming

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement a schedule of activities that appeal to children and create a positive after-school environment
• Supervise the assistant director and provide support in scheduling and finding substitutes when needed
• Supervise all pick-ups and ensure proper sign-in and sign-out procedures are followed
• Provide snacks, supervise snack time, playground time, and game time for the children
• Collaborate with school staff to align after-school activities with the school's curriculum
• Maintain accurate records of program attendance and incidents
• Stay updated on best practices in after-school programming to enhance the program's quality and appeal
