Affordable Property Manager
About the role
The Affordable Property Manager will oversee the day-to-day operations of the 146-unit Emmons Place Apartments community in NW Portland. Responsibilities include marketing, property maintenance, resident screening, rent collection, income verification, notice serving, report development, and agreement preparation.
Responsibilities
- Marketing and maintaining property integrity
- Screens prospective residents
- Collects rents, income certifications, serves notices
- Develops and prepares reports
- Prepares agreements
Requirements
- Two (2) years of previous customer service experience
- One (1) year of previous property management experience
- Three (3) to four (4) years of management experience in affordable housing, specifically with Project Based Vouchers (PBV) and Permanent Supportive Housing (PSH)
- Familiarity with local housing authorities, non-profit organizations, and other service providers within the affordable housing ecosystem
- Basic experience with MS365 including TEAMS, Word, Outlook, and Excel
- Basic math skills including addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, and percentages
- Good verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
- Able to learn quickly while paying attention to detail
- Available for after-hours emergencies
- Understand and administer landlord/tenant laws, State and Federal Labor Laws, Fair Housing Laws, Multnomah County Tenant Laws, and safety protocols
- High school degree or equivalent
- Current valid driver's license, clean driving record, and proof of auto insurance

$29-$37/hr. (DOE)
Schedule
FT, Monday - Friday, 8am - 5pm
Additional Compensation
A monthly $50.00 cell phone stipend, mileage reimbursement for business related travel
