About the role
The Kingston Affordable Housing Trust was created by vote of STM on June 2, 2014, to establish a municipal housing trust in accordance with the provisions of Massachusetts General Law (MGL) Chapter 44, Section 55C. There shall be no less than five, nor more than seven Trustees, appointed by the Board of Selectmen for terms of two years. Trustees may be reappointed and there is no term limit.
The Kingston Affordable Housing Trust is seeking volunteers to fill two (2) currently vacant trustee positions. We are seeking individuals with real estate banking experience, real estate legal experience, and/or real estate development experience.
Responsibilities
- Provide for the creation and preservation of affordable housing in the Town of Kingston for the benefit of low and moderate-income households.
- Fulfill duties and responsibilities as outlined in General Bylaws Article 21.
Requirements
- Real estate banking, legal, or development experience.
- Willingness to serve a two-year term (reappointment possible, no term limit).
