Aerospace Paint Mixer - Swing Shift
Position Summary
Selected candidates for Paint Mixer Level I (entry level) position will receive training specific to the receipt, labeling, stocking and rotation of paint products as well as area tooling and expendable materials such as mixing containers, paint filters, cleaning supplies and area specific tooling. They will be instructed regarding the material ageing process including the removal and disposition of expired product. These individuals will receive basic instruction regarding the access and use of all written and electronic data regarding the mixing and documentation of numerous aerospace and defense coating systems. These materials are mixed on demand for subsequent application to customer product specific to a variety of OEM’s such as the Boeing Co., Bombardier, Cessna, Sikorsky, Raytheon and Lockheed Martin among others.
Primary Duties & Responsibilities
- Labeling, stocking and rotation of paint products as well as the ageing, removal and disposition of expired product.
- Inventory, retrieval, stocking and maintenance of all area expendables such as mixing containers, filters, forms and labels, tooling and gauging.
- Cleaning and maintenance of the paint locker and mixing station.
- Routing of mixed product to the appropriate spray station or point of use.
- Reviewing and assimilating work instructions specific to paint type and process requirements.
- Accessing information specific to these products and processes using available electronic databases, technical data sheets and other written forms of instruction.
- Working under direct supervision these individuals will be providing for the proportional mixing and reduction of basic paint materials for the on demand application to customer product in the direct support of up to 12 applicators per shift.
- Providing for the documentation of the above in both digital and analog formats.
- Working closely with area leadership to complete work and prioritize tasks.
- Maintaining a clean and organized work area.
- Adhering to organization safety rules and regulations.
Required Skills
- Thorough understanding and use of English in both written and verbal formats.
- Basic practical computer skills and excellent attention to detail.
- Excellent vision whether or not corrected including normal color vision.
- Good communication skills.
- Ability to work alone or as a member of a team, good cooperative skills.
- Ability to lift and carry up to 35 lbs.
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a fast paced and ever-changing environment with multiple priorities.

Shift
Monday through Friday from 2pm to 10:30pm.
