Aerospace Engineering Coach

About the role

We are seeking an experienced aerospace engineering professional to coach students looking to break into or advance within the aerospace industry.

Responsibilities

• Helping students strengthen their technical foundation across aerospace systems design, propulsion and aerodynamics, flight mechanics and controls, avionics and embedded systems, spacecraft engineering, and aerospace manufacturing and materials.
• Supporting career development by reviewing resumes and cover letters, refining LinkedIn profiles, and preparing students for both behavioral and technical interviews.
• Guidance on networking strategy and salary negotiation as students work to land roles in the field.

Requirements

• Significant hands-on experience in aerospace engineering (industry, research, or government).
• Prior mentoring or teaching experience.
• A clear, structured approach to explaining complex technical concepts and career strategy alike.

Qualifications

• Experience in aerospace engineering is required.
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-experts.
• Experience with resume review and cover letter refinement.
• Knowledge of LinkedIn profile optimization.
