Aerospace CAD Drafter
Custom Control Sensors, LLC (CCS) is a global leader in the design, development, manufacturing and supply of pressure, temperature and liquid flow switches and sensors for the Aerospace, Defense and Industrial markets. Since 1957, CCS has provided high-reliability electro-mechanical devices utilizing the "DUAL-SNAP" action disc spring principle. The Airborne Division supplies standard and custom switches and sensors to aerospace, defense, commercial aviation, and government markets, including original PMA parts for Boeing, Airbus, and business aviation aircraft. About the role
Under general supervision, the Aerospace CAD Drafter produces detailed 2D and 3D technical drawings using SolidWorks software in accordance with CCS’ Engineering Drawing Control procedures. The role also involves data entry and creating or editing Bill of Materials for new or existing products.
Responsibilities
- Prepare 2D and 3D layouts, sections, assemblies, detail, and source or specification control drawings based on CCS or customer drawings, sketches, layouts, or verbal instructions.
- Apply knowledge of ANSI 14.5M—Dimensioning and Tolerancing.
- Edit, revise, and update changes to existing drawings and Bill of Materials in support of production, sales, and customers.
- Maintain high-quality standards with minimal discrepant work.
- Perform tasks equal to or exceeding established standards.
- Follow instructions and procedures precisely.
- Work consistently or overtime to meet project deadlines as required.
- Conduct oneself in a professional and civil manner.
- Adapt to changes productively and handle other essential tasks as assigned.
Requirements
- Due to ITAR compliance, applicants must be a U.S. citizen or legal permanent resident.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in Mechanical Component Drafting.
- High School diploma or GED, plus 2 years of college or specialty design courses at a technical or trade school.
- Proficient in SolidWorks, Microsoft Word, Excel, and other Microsoft Office products.
- Familiarity with AutoCAD 2-D software is desirable.
- Experience with Syteline or other ERP software systems for entering and maintaining product Bill of Material data is desirable.
- Effective time management and attention to detail.

- Manual dexterity to operate office equipment such as copiers, calculators, and computers.
- Ability to sit for prolonged periods in front of a computer.
- Ability to read, write, and follow written and verbal instructions in English.
