About the role
Buckley Cable Construction is hiring Coax Splicers to build and upgrade cable television and broadband systems by working on aerial coax networks from bucket trucks and utility poles. This is not electrical work. No prior experience is required; the company provides two weeks of paid training in West Berlin, NJ.
Responsibilities
- Work as part of a crew upgrading aerial cable systems.
- Install, maintain, and splice hardline coaxial cable while working from bucket trucks and utility poles.
Requirements
- Enjoy working outdoors in all weather conditions.
- Be comfortable working at heights up to 40 feet.
- Ability to lift and carry up to 75 pounds.
- Experience using hand tools.
- Valid driver's license.
- Willingness to obtain a DOT Medical Card (company‑paid).
- Willingness to learn a skilled trade and follow through on commitments (complete onboarding paperwork, answer calls, communicate issues, attend scheduled training).

Pay
Starting pay is $18 per hour, paid weekly.
Schedule
Training classes are offered on October 26, November 9, and December 9, 2025. Each class includes two weeks of paid training in West Berlin, NJ; lodging is provided for eligible employees traveling two hours or more away. After training, you will be assigned a company‑issued take‑home bucket truck.
