Aerial Foreman (Traveling)

Principal duties and Responsibilities

• Operating bucket truck as well as other equipment related to aerial fiber construction
• Understanding how to proficiently set up the job (strand trailer, fiber trailer and caddies)
• Understanding clearances from the other utilities, ground, road, highway, sidewalk and non- pedestrian areas
• Knowing and being able to properly frame poles according to industry specifications
• Supervising lash/over-lash single and multiple cable bundles of fiber cables
• Being able to read and interpret network prints
• Being able to safely climb poles using gaffs or ladders
• Understanding and following OSHA safety requirements to complete the job(s) safely and efficiently
• Communicating by phone frequently throughout the work day
• Demonstrating leadership skills and ability to teach and train

Position Requirements

• A high school diploma or its equivalent
• Combination of technical training and/or experience
• 1-3 years of relevant experience
• Previous supervisory experience preferred
• Previous experience in a construction environment preferred
• The ability to meet physical requirements of the position
• The ability to work nights and weekends, if necessary
• The ability to work in all weather conditions
• A valid driver’s license
• To be authorized to work in the United States
• The ability to pass drug, background, DOT & MVR screenings
