AEM Solutions LEAD

Overview

We are seeking an AEM Solutions Lead to design, develop, and support scalable Adobe Experience Manager solutions for a public-sector client. This role will provide hands-on technical leadership across AEM components, workflows, integrations, cloud and on-premises deployments, CI/CD operations, and production support. The consultant will partner with architects, product owners, business teams, and developers to deliver secure, maintainable, high-performing digital experiences.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain AEM components, templates, workflows, Sling Jobs, integrations, and applications used to build and support websites.
• Troubleshoot and resolve AEM production issues involving Dispatcher configuration, caching, stability, performance, and system behavior across environments.
• Support CI/CD pipelines and Adobe Cloud Manager operations, including automated builds, deployments, and testing.
• Collaborate with architects, product owners, and business teams to translate requirements into scalable, secure, and maintainable AEM solutions.
• Integrate AEM with third-party platforms, including CRM, DAM, analytics tools, content delivery networks, translation platforms, search engines, and custom APIs.
• Provide technical leadership to development teams through mentoring, code reviews, standards enforcement, and promotion of DevOps, cloud, Agile, and security best practices.
• Monitor application health and implement observability, diagnostics, and performance improvements across AEM environments.
• Stay current with AEM capabilities, Adobe Experience Cloud services, and related platform advancements.

Requirements

• 8+ years of hands-on AEM development experience.
• Strong hands-on experience with AEM Sites, AEM Assets, Sling Jobs, and workflows.
• Demonstrated technical leadership experience, including mentoring developers, conducting code reviews, and promoting DevOps, cloud, Agile, and industry best practices.
• Experience collaborating with business teams to define requirements, identify risks, and develop maintainable AEM solutions.
• Experience designing, developing, and supporting AEM components, integrations, applications, templates, workflows, and websites.
• Expertise in Java, Apache Sling, OSGi, HTL (Sightly), HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
• Strong knowledge of Dispatcher configuration, caching techniques, and performance tuning.
• Experience deploying websites to AEM as a Cloud Service and on-premises AEM installations.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps tools, including Git, Maven, Jenkins, or comparable technologies.
• Strong troubleshooting skills with experience resolving production issues in AEM environments.
• Familiarity with Agile development practices and team collaboration tools.

Qualifications

• Experience with Adobe Target.
• Experience integrating Adobe Analytics with AEM.
• Experience with Akamai Content Delivery Network for websites.
• Experience with language translation platforms such as Smartling or TransPerfect.
• Experience with search platforms such as Coveo or Solr.

Educational & Certification Requirements

• Relevant Adobe Experience Manager certification, such as Adobe Experience Manager Sites Architect, Adobe Experience Manager Sites Lead, Adobe Experience Manager DevOps, or Adobe Experience Manager Sites Developer.

Pay

W2 Hourly Rate: $60-$70/hour

Schedule

• Location: Brooklyn, NY (Hybrid - 3 days onsite/2 days remote)
• Duration: 12 Months (with potential for extension)
• Start Date: October 1, 2026
