About the role

The Bureau of Labor Statistics (BLS) Standard Operational Classification (SOC) for this position is 13-1081. The mission of AEGIS TechRep is to provide Program Managers with on-site leadership and system engineering support to validate total ship combat system design, monitor production, accept weapon system delivery, integrate and test combat system equipment and computer programs, and evaluate operational suitability. The team delivers on-site technical oversight and support that validates the total AEGIS design to include Engineering, Test and Evaluation, Logistics, Production, Acquisition, and Cybersecurity functions.

Responsibilities

  • Provide Program Managers with on-site leadership and system engineering support to validate total ship combat system design
  • Monitor production and accept weapon system delivery
  • Integrate and test combat system equipment and computer programs
  • Evaluate operational suitability
  • Deliver on-site technical oversight and support that validates the total AEGIS design
  • Support Engineering, Test and Evaluation, Logistics, Production, Acquisition, and Cybersecurity functions

Requirements

  • Four (4) to six (6) years professional experience with DoW / DoN logistics
  • Familiarity with DoW work (i.e. importance of Standard Operating Procedures and regulatory controls)
  • Working level knowledge of Carcass and Electronic Retrograde Management System (eRMS)
  • Understanding of MISTRIP
  • Use of a Government Purchase Card
  • Comfortable with the Trouble Failure Report (TFR)
  • Familiar with the Navy ERP
  • Knowledge of DRMO
  • Financial Acuity DESIRED but NOT REQUIRED

Qualifications

  • Prior U.S. Navy experience, preferably aboard AEGIS destroyers or cruisers
  • Certified Defense Logistics Professional from NDIACertified Supply Chain Professional from APICS, now part of ASCMCertified Logistics Professional from the International Society of LogisticsCertified Professional in Supply Management from ISM
