AE Team Lead - US
BLP Digital is redefining ERP automation with agentic AI. Spun out of ETH Zurich and HSG, we build AI agents that automate finance, procurement, logistics, sales, and more for some of the world's largest enterprises. Our solution is live in 40+ countries, used by 550+ customers, and automates 70,000+ processes every day, including for Fortune 500 companies. As one of Switzerland's fastest-growing SaaS scaleups, we've recently welcomed Goldman Sachs Alternatives as a growth investor and are expanding into the UK with our new London office.
About the role
As an AE Team Lead, you will lead a pod of Account Executives while continuing to carry your own quota. This is a true player-coach role: roughly half your time goes into closing your own deals, the other half into making your team better at closing theirs. You report to the VP of Sales and own the performance of your pod end to end. You will be closing enterprise deals yourself from your first quarter onward, running deal reviews, coaching AEs through complex cycles, and personally engaging on deals where your experience moves the needle.
Your pod sells to CFOs, COOs, and CEOs at manufacturing, retail, CPG, pharma, and healthcare companies with high process complexity and high transaction volume, helping them remove the manual execution layer in core business processes.
Location: Boston, Massachusetts. This role is based in our Boston office five days a week. You must already live in the Greater Boston area or be prepared to relocate before your start date. Expect 30 to 40% travel for customer meetings and pod coverage.
You must already be authorized to work in the United States on a permanent basis. BLP Digital US Inc does not sponsor employment visas for this role.
Responsibilities
- Lead a pod of AEs to consistent quota attainment, with fast ramp times and high productivity per head.
- Carry an individual quota and personally close deals, leading by example on complex, multi-stakeholder cycles.
- Run weekly pipeline reviews and hands-on deal coaching that surface real risk, accelerate cycle time, and improve win rates without adding bureaucracy.
- Coach AEs on discovery, qualification, value articulation, and objection handling, building skills and habits that compound over time.
- Own forecast accuracy for your pod and report cleanly into the VP of Sales, taking full accountability for the numbers you commit to.
- Hire, onboard, and develop AEs, raising the bar with each addition to the team. You will be personally accountable for time-to-first-deal on every hire you make.
- Partner with the VP of Sales to build the US playbook, feeding what works on the ground back into training and enablement.
- Stay current on ERP and enterprise AI trends to position BLP credibly against alternatives in C-level conversations.
Requirements
- 10+ years of quota-carrying B2B software sales experience, of which at least 4 years leading quota-carrying Account Executives. Experience leading front-line managers is a strong advantage.
- At least 2 years owning a team number of $5M+ in new ARR, with documented attainment. You should be able to walk through your attainment year by year, including the years you missed and why.
- Direct experience selling ERP or ERP-adjacent enterprise software into Finance, Procurement, Supply Chain, or Operations. Ecosystem experience (SAP, Oracle, Salesforce, Workday) is expected.
- Track record closing six-figure ACV new-logo deals with 6 to 12 month cycles and buying groups spanning Finance, Operations, Procurement, and IT. You must have led several such deals to signature as the senior person in the room within the last two years.
- Demonstrated team building from a small base: you have hired and ramped at least five AEs and taken a segment, region, or market from near-zero to a repeatable motion.
- Experience operating through a growth inflection, for example Series B through scale, a major integration, or a rapid headcount expansion.
- Forecast discipline: you can hold pod-level accuracy within a tight band and articulate the method you use to get there, not just the tooling.
- Data literacy: you translate pipeline signal into specific, named coaching actions rather than general observations.
What we offer
- Real ownership over a pod and a number, with the autonomy to run it your way within a clear playbook.
- A differentiated product with strong market traction across 550+ enterprise customers, giving you credibility and leverage in C-level conversations.
- A clear path into broader sales leadership as the US organization scales.
- A competitive compensation package, discussed openly in the first conversation.
- High-caliber colleagues in a culture that values ownership, transparency, and strong execution.
- Structured onboarding, ongoing partnership with the VP of Sales, and access to the tools and resources needed to perform.
