Summary of the Position
This is an hourly, part-time position providing mentorship and advocacy for youth and families throughout Presque Isle. The ideal candidate will be dependable, committed, and able to serve as a positive role model for youth in community, school, and home settings.
Primary Responsibilities
- Initiate, organize, plan, develop and implement direct advocacy services to assigned participants and their families.
- All service plans will be based on a strength-based approach using the wrap around model.
Qualifications/Requirements
- Minimum High School Diploma or GED is required.
- Prior experience in community work and knowledge of community resources.
- Experience working with at-risk youth.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite; Experience using an electronic health records (EHR) is a plus.
- CPR/First Aid Certification is a plus.
- Bi-Lingual/Spanish Speaking is a plus.
