Summary of the Position

Status: Part Time
FLSA Classification: Non-Exempt
Summary of the Position: Hourly, part-time position serving youth and families throughout Schoolcraft County (Manistique City area) are available. Applicant must be dependable, committed, and able to serve as a positive role model for youth in community, school, and home settings.

Primary responsibilities

  • Initiate, organize, plan, develop and implement direct advocacy services to assigned participants and their families.
  • All service plans will be based on a strength-based approach using the wrap around model.

Qualifications/Requirements

  • Minimum High School Diploma or GED is required.
  • Experience in community work and knowledge of community resources.
  • Experience working with at-risk youth.
  • Ability to work with diverse populations of staff, children, and families in a collaborative and culturally sensitive manner.
  • Provide quality documentation, progress notes, and submit within required deadlines.
  • Proficient computer skills required; knowledge of electronic health record systems (EHR) a plus.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Reliable transportation, valid driver’s license, and current auto insurance required.
  • Bilingual (Spanish) is a plus.
