Advocate

Summary of the Position

Hourly, part-time position serving youth and families throughout Ocean County is available. Applicant must be dependable, committed, and able to serve as a positive role model for youth in community, school, and home settings.

Primary responsibilities

• Initiate, organize, plan, develop and implement direct advocacy services to assigned participants and their families.
• Service plans will be based on a strength-based approach using the wrap around model.

Qualifications/Requirements

• A High School Diploma or GED is required.
• Experience in community work and knowledge of community resources.
• Experience working with at-risk youth.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Reliable transportation, valid driver's license, and auto insurance coverage is required.
• Bilingual (Spanish Speaking) is a plus.
