Advisor III, Trade Support
About the role
The Advisor III, Trade Support role at Phillips 66 is responsible for translating business needs into data-driven insights and scalable system solutions that support Commercial operations. This role works cross-functionally to analyze data, improve processes, and enable decision-making through reporting, system configuration, and analytics capabilities.
Responsibilities
- Analyze business and reporting requirements and translate them into dashboards, KPIs, and system-based solutions.
- Collect, interpret, and analyze complex data to deliver insights and recommendations that support strategic decision-making.
- Design, configure, and maintain systems and data structures to enable efficient Commercial operations and reporting.
- Collaborate with Commercial front office, support teams, IT, and Midstream Operations to understand needs and deliver solutions.
- Create and maintain system data, reports, and analytics outputs to ensure accuracy and integrity of business information.
- Act as a technical subject matter expert, advising stakeholders and resolving complex data, system, and process issues.
- Drive continuous improvement by identifying opportunities to optimize processes, reporting, and system functionality.
- Lead or support projects related to analytics, system enhancements, and operational improvements.
- Develop and deliver training on systems, tools, and processes while proactively sharing knowledge with stakeholders.
- Support business continuity planning activities and assist in resolving operational discrepancies affecting financial reporting.
Requirements
- Likely authorized to work in the job posting country
- Bachelor’s degree
- 3 or more years of experience in analytics, Commercial, or Commercial support functions
- Intermediate proficiency in SAP S/4 HANA
- Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook)
Preferred
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills
- Experience supporting Commercial trading, scheduling, or downstream operations
- Strong communication skills with the ability to translate complex data into clear insights
- Experience with data visualization, dashboards, and business intelligence tools
- Strong attention to detail and data integrity
- Ability to collaborate effectively across multiple stakeholders and functional areas
- Financial acumen and understanding of the downstream value chain
- Experience analyzing data and translating business requirements into insights and system solutions
- Experience performing data analysis, reporting, and testing activities with minimal supervision
Pay
This position has a base salary range of $125,100 – $152,900. At Phillips 66, we are committed to pay transparency and competitive, equitable compensation. Each role is assigned a salary grade with a defined pay range, benchmarked against industry peers.
