Data Collection
- Extract, transform, and consolidate financial and operational data from multiple source systems (ERP, operational systems, external files, etc.) ensuring accuracy and consistency in analyses.
Data Validation
- Ensure data accuracy, completeness, and consistency through validation, reconciliation, and ongoing quality checks. Identify data gaps, inconsistencies, and process breakdowns; partner with stakeholders to resolve root causes.
KPI Development
- Develop, validate, and maintain key performance indicators (KPIs) to provide senior management with critical business insights, enabling data-driven decision-making and strategic planning.
Ad Hoc Analysis
- Assist senior management with in-depth ad hoc analysis to support strategic decision-making and financial planning initiatives.
Collaboration
- Work closely with cross-functional teams, including finance, operations, revenue cycle management and IT, to ensure data alignment and accuracy.
Process Improvement
- Identify opportunities to streamline data collection processes, enhance data quality, and improve reporting efficiency.
Research
- Independently identify and extract specific data points from raw datasets, demonstrating a strong ability to navigate complex data sources. Proactively develop a deep understanding of enterprise data and business processes, utilizing analytical skills to uncover insights that support strategic planning.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Computer Science, Data Science, or a related field, preferred
- 4+ years of experience in data analysis, financial analysis, or a related role, preferred
- Advanced SQL skills for data extraction, manipulation, and analysis, preferred
- Experience with data visualization and reporting tools (e.g. PowerBI, Tableau, etc)
- Experience with other data analysis tools (e.g. Alteryx) and/or programming languages (e.g., Python, R), preferred
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to present complex data in a clear and concise manner.
