Advanced Youth Soccer Coach
About the role
Irvine Youth Soccer League (IYSL) offers recreational soccer for kids ages 4-12 in the Irvine, CA area. We are looking to hire enthusiastic youth soccer coaches to help run sessions at our Irvine locations. This position offers the opportunity to coach both beginners and advanced (elite) players in the program, with higher expectations for listening and development to prepare players for club soccer.
The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced environment, has an understanding of the game of soccer, and enjoys working with kids. We offer rewarding work in a positive environment, committed to helping kids have fun while learning the basic fundamentals of soccer.
Responsibilities
- Lead and instruct groups of 8-12 kids with success
- Demonstrate proper form and technique
- Implement specialized training curriculum
- Setup and cleanup fields efficiently
- Ensure programs are effective, safe, and fun
Requirements
- Currently live within a reasonable commute to Irvine, CA
- Minimum age: 16 years old
- Must speak English
- Previous soccer coaching experience
- Previous experience as a soccer player required
- Ability to train boys and girls ages 4-12 at beginner, intermediate, and advanced skill levels
Schedule
4:30–7:00/8:00 PM, Monday–Friday (flexible schedule; do not need to be available every day)
