Advanced Systems Engineer - Flight Control Systems
About the role
As an Advanced Systems Engineer - Flight Control Systems at Honeywell Aerospace, you will design, develop, and integrate highly complex avionics systems with a focus on Automatic Flight Controls Systems for fixed-wing aircraft, helicopters, and future Urban Air Mobility (UAM) / Unmanned Aircraft Systems (UAS). You will play a crucial role in creating system solutions that address evolving customer needs, engaging in every aspect of the systems lifecycle from business development to product end-of-life.
Honeywell Anthem is the industry's first cloud-connected "always-on" Integrated Cockpit system, featuring cloud-native communications, navigation, and surveillance systems. Powered by a flexible software platform, it can be customized for virtually every type of aircraft, including passenger planes, business aircraft, defense, general aviation, and the rapidly emerging class of Advanced Air-Mobility (AAM) vehicles.
Responsibilities
- Conduct requirement analysis and decomposition for avionics systems.
- Design and architect systems solutions that align with customer needs.
- Engage in model-based systems development and integration activities.
- Perform systems validation and verification to ensure compliance with regulations.
- Interact with customers to gather feedback and requirements.
Requirements
You must have:
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution in a technical discipline such as the sciences, technology, engineering, or mathematics.
- 4 years of experience in flight controls or other avionics or engineering programs.

- General avionics experience and knowledge.
- Familiarity with the systems or software development lifecycle.

- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.

Due to compliance with U.S. export control laws and regulations, candidate must be a U.S. Person, defined as a U.S. citizen, U.S. permanent resident, or have protected status in the U.S. under asylum or refugee status, or the ability to obtain an export authorization.
