Advanced Systems Engineer

Responsibilities

• Lead requirements development, system architecture, and design
• Identify and mitigate risks
• Produce clear, traceable technical documentation
• Work proficiently with modern engineering tools, test environments, and secure computing systems
• Operate unsupervised with minimal direction and self-start
• Write test plans and procedures
• Develop training materials
• Perform systematic analysis of systems to identify software, hardware, and interface issues
• Support resolution across the system lifecycle
• Identify and articulate discrepancy reports outlining issues or bugs with mitigation response deadlines
• Develop and interpret complex technical requirements and associate them with system engineering milestones
• Collaborate with engineers and customers to develop a comprehensive Requirements Verification Traceability Matrix (RVTM)
• Lead design reviews with customer-centric input
• Develop system documentation, including:
  • Requirements Development
  • Formal Technical Reviews and Artifacts
  • Formal and Informal Test Processes
  • System Requirements Review (SRR)
  • Preliminary Design Review (PDR)
  • Critical Design Review / Critical Design Readiness Review (CDR/CDRR)
  • CONOP documents

Requirements

• US citizenship (required)
• Current TS/SCI clearance
• Degree (Bachelor's, Master's, or PhD) in Computer Science, Data Science, Computer Engineering, Systems Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical field
• Expert system engineering knowledge across the full system lifecycle, including:
  • Requirements analysis and allocation
  • System architecture and design
  • Integration, test, transition to operations, and sustainment activities
• Comfort with agile development methods in a dynamic environment
• Previous experience as a Systems Engineer, preferably working with or for a large contractor on a Research and Development program

Location

This position is located at our Tucson, Arizona Headquarters.

Pay

The likely salary range for this position is $145,000 to $165,000, based on experience, geographic location, and potential contractual requirements.
