Advanced Registered Nurse Practitioner - OBGYN

Position Responsibilities

Prepares complete detailed and accurate patient histories for wellness maintenance, contraceptive needs, menopausal symptoms, or minor gynecologic problems.
Documents findings on appropriate chart form which is recorded in patient medical record. This may involve dictating clinical notes.
Performs, orders and interprets routine laboratory tests;
Performs follow-up notification to patient about laboratory results, with particular attention to abnormal results.
Prescribes medications in specified circumstances.
Follows-up on patients who do not return for scheduled appointments.

Required Qualifications

• A Master’s degree is required.
• A Master’s degree in Nursing is preferred.
• If Master’s degree is in a related field, a Baccalaureate degree in nursing is required.
• Current license to practice nursing in Iowa is required.
• Current licensure as ARNP in state of Iowa is required.
• 1-3 years of experience as an APP in Women's Health.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills to serve as a liaison and to collaborate with physicians, staff, patients, and other customers.

• Knowledge of University of Iowa policies and procedures
