Advanced Quality Engineer

The Advanced Quality Engineer position offers an opportunity to transition from other private, public, government, or military experience to a 3M career. Responsibilities
- Tap into your curiosity and collaborate with other curious, creative 3Mers.
- Assure compliance with internal procedures, external requirements and regulations.
- Lead Corrective Action Prevention Action (CAPA), Risk Management, Quality at the Source initiatives.
- Support and interact with customers through complaint investigations, resolution, and trending.
- Participate in internal/external quality audits.
- Involvement in Supplier Performance Management, Measurement and Review process.
- Provide change management oversight from the quality function to ensure adequate training and/or qualification of changes to products and processes.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or higher (completed and verified prior to start) from an accredited institution and two (2) years of engineering experience in manufacturing, quality, laboratory and/or production environment in a private, public, government or military environment.
- Associate's degree or higher (completed and verified prior to start) and four (4) years of experience in manufacturing, quality, laboratory and/or production environment in a private, public, government or military environment.
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in a Science or Engineering discipline (completed and verified prior to start) from an accredited institution.
- Working knowledge of root cause analysis tools and techniques.
- Experience managing multiple projects.
- Experience working with ISO9001:2015.
- Experience working with suppliers in a quality improvement capacity.
- Experience with statistical analysis.
- ASQ certification.
- Experience working and collaborating within a multi-functional product team (e.g., Quality, Manufacturing, Tech Service, or Marketing).
- Experience with Quality Management System (QMS) documentation, with a focus on auditing and conformance.
Qualifications
- May include additional qualifications such as experience in supplier performance management, measurement and review process, change management oversight, and QMS documentation.

Pay & Benefits
The expected compensation range for this position is $98,964 - $120,957, which includes base pay plus variable incentive pay, if eligible. This range represents a good faith estimate for this position. The specific compensation offered to a candidate may vary based on factors including, but not limited to, the candidate’s relevant knowledge, training, skills, work location, and/or experience.
