Advanced Project Manager

About the role

As an Advanced Project Manager, you will be responsible for all project management processes on medium complexity projects or on a portion of complex projects. You will oversee small to medium team sizes (average 5-10 team members) and may serve as a Technical Inputs Lead for the medium complexity proposal projects as assigned. You may be assigned overall project manager responsibility of a complex project in a deputy capacity (with direct guidance of a Program Manager or higher).

Key Responsibilities

• Complete all aspects of planning process including authoring project plans and developing scope, schedule, and cost baselines.
• Assume overall responsibility for success of projects. Based on project plan, follow department protocols for acquiring team members to complete the work.
• Manage all aspects of project including scope, schedule, cost, risk, procurement, quality, resources, communications, and partners through use of delegates/support as applicable.
• Interpret and transmit project/contract requirements, and subsequent changes, to teams following an integrated change management process.
• Prepare or oversee project cost expenditure forecasts and progress evaluations/projections (including Earned Value Management) to support project performance and financial reporting requirements.
• Review project expenditures for compliance with project baselines and scope.
• Develop or oversee project databases and systems to ensure efficient handling and transmission of project correspondence and documentation between project team members.
• Close project by archiving work in financial, scheduling, document management, and resource management systems/tools.
• Be the single representative to customer, architect engineer, constructor and Westinghouse departments to support project.
• Interpret and transmit contract requirements, and subsequent changes, to departments.
• Integrate project's goals and actions through participation with other project groups in matters of common concern.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Project Management, Engineering, Construction Management or related technical discipline.
• 5 years of experience as project manager leading and directing medium or high complexity projects to successful completion. Equivalent experience may be considered for external candidates.
• Completed Westinghouse Advanced Project Manager qualification or equivalent certification (PMP or equivalent).
• Experience with project management in a manufacturing environment.
• Familiarity with manufacturing business practices including knowledge of operations, maintenance and engineering practices, knowledge of procurement processes and material management.
• Well-versed in Schedule Theory and Cost Management; experience with MS Project required and Primavera P6.

Pay

The base salary range for this position, which is dependent upon experience, qualifications and skills, is estimated to be $103,200 to $129,000 per year.
