Advanced Practitioner Fellowship Program in Neuroscience
Job Duties
- Participate in diagnostic and therapeutic tasks to further educate the PA or NP fellowship in neuroscience knowledge, patient care decision-making, and patient care management.
- Collaborate with the neurologists and neurosurgeons to provide care to new or established patients, assure continuity of care and advocate for patients, and serve as a liaison between physicians and patients.
- Collaborate with medical staff members, nursing personnel, and other departmental staff to coordinate patient care requirements.
About the Role
The qualified candidate, under the responsibility and supervision of a physician, will participate in diagnostic and therapeutic tasks to further educate the PA or NP fellowship in neuroscience knowledge, patient care decision-making, and patient care management. The AP Fellow will collaborate with the neurologists and neurosurgeons to provide care to new or established patients, assure continuity of care and advocate for patients, and serve as a liaison between physicians and patients. Additionally, the AP Fellow will collaborate with medical staff members, nursing personnel, and other departmental staff to coordinate patient care requirements.
Position Details
- The Physician Assistant candidate will require completion of an ARC-PA (or predecessor organization) approved physician assistant program, current NCCPA certification, and Pennsylvania State licensure.
- The Nurse Practitioner candidate will require completion of an approved program for Nurse Practitioners and hold national certification that allows the NP to work with the patient populations and location settings associated with this position. Must be licensed as a nurse practitioner in the state of PA.
Education
A Master's Degree in Healthcare Related Field is required.
