Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (Family Nurse Practitioner)
About the role
The Delaware Department of Health and Social Services (DHSS) seeks to increase the number of applicants for clinical nursing positions by offering a recruitment incentive to eligible Advanced Practice Nurse, Nurse Consultant, Nursing Supervisor, Compliance Nurse, Registered Nurse, Licensed Practical Nurse, and Certified Nursing Assistant candidates in accordance with the DHSS Recruitment and Referral Incentive Program.
Responsibilities
The Advanced Practice Registered Nurses (APRN) position located at Porter State Service Center's Public Health Clinic will provide services such as comprehensive physical examinations, preventive health services, prescribe treatment, and lab orders. Services may include tuberculosis prevention and control, child health, immunizations, adult health, and sexual and reproductive health. May participate in community vaccination clinics and disaster response. Additionally, they may also provide services at other locations in other counties to support operational needs.
Requirements
- Possession of a Delaware Advanced Practice Registered Nurse license or temporary permit for a Delaware Advanced Practice Registered Nurse license in the specialty area of Family Nurse Practitioner.
- Possession of a valid driver's license (not suspended, revoked or canceled, or disqualified from driving).

- Provides or evaluates direct nursing care.

- Prepares and submits records, reports, evaluations and forms.
- Participates in and make recommendations regarding quality assurance activities.
