Advanced Practice Provider- Urgent Care Elizabeth City (PRN)

Overview

The Urgent Care APP (NP or PA) provides health care services including health assessments, treatments, regulatory exams, and procedures in a walk-in Urgent Care center. Services are directed by assigned physicians under a collaborative agreement. The PA must be flexible in scheduling, including weekends, evenings, holidays, and 12-hour shifts. Prescribes medications and performs procedures. Requires continuing education and prescriptive authority.

Qualifications

• Masters Level Degree (Required)

• DEA (Required)

• National Registry of Certified Medical Examiners (Not required at time of offer, but expected to complete within 30 days of employment)
• Prescription Authority (VA staff only, 2-3 shifts per month)

Experience

• Minimum of 1-2 years of experience as a practicing provider in an urgent, immediate, or emergency care setting
