Advanced Practice Provider - Surgical Oncology

Role: Nurse Practitioner / Physician Assistant in the Department of Surgery, Division of Surgical Oncology. Responsibilities Provide advanced practice care to surgical oncology patients in both inpatient and outpatient settings.Manage pre- and post-operative care, conduct perioperative assessments, and coordinate multidisciplinary treatment plans.Perform patient histories and physical examinations, order and interpret diagnostic tests, and assist in surgical procedures.Educate patients about their conditions and treatments, ensuring comprehensive patient care.Collaborate closely with surgeons, residents, nurses, and other healthcare learners to deliver optimal care.Support research initiatives, quality improvement projects, and educational activities within an academic medical environment. Qualifications & Skills Experience in surgical or oncology settings preferred.Strong clinical assessment, diagnostic, and procedural skills.Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.Commitment to patient-centered care, research, and education.
