Advanced Practice Provider Structural Heart Cardiology
About the role
In this role, you will work closely with the physicians and under their oversight, be responsible for seeing new patients, monitoring post and pre-operative inpatients and routine visit patients in a clinic and hospital setting at Intermountain Medical Center. This APP position is full-time. Clinic hours are from 8:00am - 4:30pm, Monday through Friday. The APP will be working 4- 10 hour shifts per week between the clinic and hospital. In addition, will rotate weekends to consult and round on structural heart patients within the hospital.
Responsibilities
- Maintain and promote health and prevent disease
- Assess, diagnose, treat, correct, and consult
- Perform procedures as outlined by specialty
- Provide education to patients, families, clinical staff, and others
- Prescribe or administer prescription drugs or devices in accordance with a consultation and referral plan
- Consult with other healthcare providers
- Document clinical care appropriately and timely
- Learns and develops for optimal patient care and outcomes
Requirements
- Current state license as an Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) or Physician Assistant (PA)
- Certification as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant
- Eligible for State Controlled Substance License II through V
- Eligible for Federal DEA Certificate II through V
- BLS Certification for Healthcare Providers
- Other certifications as required (e.g. ACLS, PALS, TNCC, NRP)
Qualifications
- Minimum of 1 year of experience as an NP or PA in a cardiology setting
- New grads can be considered with previous cardiology experience or cardiology rotations

Pay
The hourly range for this position is listed below. Actual hourly rate dependent upon experience. $57.33 - $88.47
