Position Details
- Schedule: Flexible 8 hour days
- No Weekends!
- No Call!
- No Holidays!
- NP must independently manage complex pre-op assessments, including chart reviews, ordering labs, EKGs and clearances
- Strongly Preffered: Cardiac background
- Preffered: Background in surgery, some cardiac knowledge, EKG's

Overview
Memorial Hospital Belleville is an acute care hospital offering medical and surgical services plus critical and emergency care including Children’s at Memorial for pediatric emergency care. It provides patients a full complement of diagnostic and treatment services as well as heart and vascular care. Memorial, offering medical and surgical services plus critical care, is an accredited Chest Pain Center with PCI by the Society of Cardiovascular Patient Care and is designated as an Acute Stroke Ready Hospital by the Illinois Department of Public Health. In addition, Memorial Belleville recently was accredited by the American College of Radiology as a designated Lung Cancer Screening Center. Since 2008, it has been designated as a Magnet®-recognized organization for nursing excellence by the American Nurses Credentialing Center.
Role Purpose
Utilizes a high degree of knowledge, skill and competence in specialized patient care area. Assesses, diagnose, initiates plan of care and evaluates outcomes. Participates in professional development. Assesses development needs of staff and develops and delivers appropriate educational programs to meet staff needs. Coordinates the care of select patient populations to ensure promotion of health and wellness through education of patients and families, coordination of services and placing referrals. Develops treatment plans, treats patients with acute problems including illnesses and minor injuries following a predetermined protocol.
Minimum Requirements
- Education: Master's Degree Nursing (Accredited NP Program)
- Experience: Supervisor Experience
- No Experience
- Licenses & Certifications: Nurse Practitioner RN
Preferred Requirements
- Education: Doctorate Nursing
- Experience: 2-5 years
